About
Hi, I’m Ginger.
Comedian, producer, yoga teacher, wire artist — and, as of 2015, a Chinese woman trying to make sense of the American South.
The short version
I moved from China to the United States in September 2015 and landed in the American South — a place where people bless your heart and mean at least three different things by it.
By day, I own a yoga studio, teach yoga, and train yoga teachers. I also teach meditation, study theatre, and sculpt wire art. All of it ends up in the comedy eventually — the accents, the dating, the culture shock, the loneliness, the stereotypes, and the everyday misunderstandings too specific to make up.
I started stand-up in July 2025. Five months later, I won the People’s Choice award at the Spartanburg Stand-Up Competition Grand Finale. In September 2026 I began headlining and producing my own shows — because waiting for permission takes too long.
On stage I look polished and friendly. Then I say the quiet part out loud. That contrast is the whole act.

Ginger Makes Friends
An ongoing project about friendship, loneliness, and human connection — real conversations with real people. Maybe you’re next.
Off stage
Same person.
Different volume.
Away from the mic, Ginger owns a yoga studio and trains yoga teachers, teaches meditation, studies theatre, and makes wire art. Sunday mornings are quiet. Saturday nights are not.
